New Products

I know I don't have many followers reading this, but I apologize for not posting for a while. These are the new products that I have bought from Avon, and a few other bits :-)

Avon Products: Left to Right; Top to Bottom; True Colour Blush in Earthen Rose, this is a beautiful and very delicate colour, Eyeshadow palettes in Mystery, and Smoke and Mirrors, Blush/Contour Duo, this is a fantastic highlighter, very gorgeous, Mega Impact Eyeliner in Cobalt, Supershock Gel Eyeliner Pencils in Blackberry and Golden Fawn, Illuminating Cheek Tint, this doesn't have much colour to it, but is still a very beautiful highlighter all the same, Colourtrend Pencil Play Eyeliner in Turqoise, Mega Impact pencil in Black, Extra Lasting Liquid (felt pen style) Eyeliners, in Black and Brown, and Supershock Max Mascara in Black, which has a big rubbery brush, and i personally love mascaras with big wands so I find this mascara really easy to work with.

I got a few bits and pieces in the Factory Shop; a really pretty boxed bronzer/blusher, a NYC 'mini' palette, with four different shadows which can be used to create a natural look, a deep blue Rimmel shadow, a black Calvin Klein Shadow, Maybelline Black Kohl Eyeliner, and a Rimmel Glam Eyes Mascara. And a few other procducts; Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Ivory; this is my new favourite every day foundation, it's really light and sheer in texture, but also gives a good medium coverage;  MUA pencil in white; the next three products aren't new, but old products that I'd not really used much before, and rediscovered recently;  Avon lip and cheek tint, which is quite a thick cream, and a gorgeous colour, Avon dual ended product, an eyeliner on one end and an eyeshadow applicator with shadow in the lid on the other, in a very pretty purple, and Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara, this also has a lovely big brush, which I love.

A few new skincare products; Simple facewipes, these are a repurchase, I use these all the time and love them, a packet of Nivea facewipes, Simple face wash; I love the simple products, I have quite oily and spot prone skin, and this brand is really gentle and kind to my skin; also I've just had  new tattoo on my leg so I've bought some Veet in shower hair removal cream, for after it's healed, I've tried other Veet products before but now this specific one, so in a few weeks I'll give it a try :-)

This palette; Madame Milly, i got from the Factory Shop as well, it has 10 really pretty colours, some more natural and some a bit brighter, some matte and some have glitter in. For the £2.50 that i paid for this, they are good quality eyeshadows. The payoff is relatively good too, and applied over a cream eyeshadow they can look really bright and very pretty.

I also bought a W7 Crackle nail varnish; i was looking at buying the new Avon Mosaic nail varnish which is £6 but i found this in the factory shop for £3 so picked this up instead. I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know how well it works, but will post some pictures and thoughts when I have used it. And last but not least, Rimmel Mousse eyeshadow colour in Midnight Blue, which is an absolutely beautiful colour and I really love it. Hope this was fun and interesting for you, Thank you for reading, and if you got to the end of this, well done :-) x

Urban Decay Naked Pallets

After seeing many reviews and makeup tutorials using the original Naked pallet, I bought one from Debenhams and fell in love with it. And when I heard that they Urban Decay were bringing out a 2nd Naked pallet I was really excited!! I bought the Naked 2 pallet a few weeks ago and it did not disappoint.
To start with, packaging; both of the pallets are lovely and sleek and a good size for traveling. I personally prefer the packaging for the Naked 2, although i know some people disagree. The original pallet has a small magnet holding it shut, but the new pallet snaps shut (I think) more securely. Also although the original packaging looks lovely, the material gets dirty and gets stuff stuck to it alot easier, while the new pallet doesn't have this problem at all.
Original Naked Pallet: Colours from left to right; Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep and Gunmetal.

Naked 2 Pallet: Colours left to right; Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted and Blackout.

Like all Urban Decay eyeshadows all 24 of these are beautiful, and have fantastic colour payoff and they are all extremely wearable. The original pallet comes with a dual ended 24/7 eyeliner pencil in the colours Zero and Whiskey, and a mini eyeshadow primer potion. The Naked2 pallet comes with a dual ended brush, one flat brush for packing on product, and one a fluffy brush good for blending. It also comes with a mini Lip Junkie gloss; although I like this product, I feel like being an eyeshadow pallet it should have maybe another mini primer potion, or another eye product.

Overall I think that both of these pallets are fantastic quality, with a great variety of colours, (Halfbaked does appear in both, but as it's a beautiful colour I don't mind having 2!) and at £35 each for 12 beautiful colours, plus extras, I also think they are great value for money. Thanks for reading guys :-)

Nails Inc

This is the Nails Inc Magnetic Polish. Mine is in the colour Trafalgar Square; they also come in the colours Whitehall and Houses of Parliment. They retail at £13 each.

This is the finished magnetic polish effect. To get this, what you have to do (there are instructions on the bottle too), put a coat on as normal, once thats dry; one nail at a time put on a second coat, and then hold the magnet on the lid over to the top of the wet nail for about 15 seconds. The part of the lid with the magnet on comes off of the brush lid to make this easier. Also there is a 'lip' (you can see on the first picture), you rest the lip on your finger just underneath the nail, this holds the magnet over the nail and makes it less likely for you to put the magnet onto the wet polish. I love this nail polish, and may in the future have to buy it in the other colours as it's a really wicked effect to wear on your nails :-)

Urban Decay Cream Eyeshadows

These are the Urban Decay cream eyeshadows that i got myself, I think these usually sell for about £14 or £15, but i got mine on ebay for a lot lot cheaper. They are very highly pigmented (like Urban Decays other products), very easy to work with and make eyeshadows that you use over the top look fantastic. Although they also look amazing on their own, you don't have to use them as a base.
Left to Right; Asphalt, Rehab, Sphynx, Delinquent, Whipped, Mushroom, Radium, Weeds, Suburbia, Grass, Moonshine, and Midnight Rodeo. I think my favourites have to be, Asphalt, Sphynx and Delinquent. Thanks for reading :-)

Debenhams Haul

Just after christmas i thought i'd treat myeslf to some of the more expensive makeup that i wouldn't normally buy; Nars blush/bronzer trio (Orgasm, Albatross and Laguna), a nars illuminator which came free with trio, Urban decay bronzer in toasted, Mac mineralize skin finish in Light, Urban Decay cream highlight in sin, Urban decay cream blush in quickie, and Urban decay lipstick in Oilslick.
I also bought myself 2 Mac pro colour eyeshadows, Sketch and Satin Taupe, which are both beautiful colours.
Urban decay lipstick in Oil Slick. This is surprisingly quite sheer in colour, that you can build, you could wear it much darker if you like or very sheer, or blend it into another lipstick. And i have to mention the packaging for these lipsticks, because it's beautiful. I love the colours, the pattern and the sword handle is very unique, and i looove it.
I hadn't used any of these colours from Nars before, however i'd heard great comments/reviews on each of these colours. And they really are fantastic. I have quite pale skin, so some bronzers can look too dark on me, but Laguna is an amazing colour for me. Orgasm is also a lovely colour, i would say the colour is similar to Sleeks Rose Gold blush only pinker, and is very gorgeous. Albatross highlight is quite a gold coloured highlight and is very pigmented, you dont need to use very much at all.

Well that's my purchases from Debenhams and my thoughts on a few of them, hope you enjoyed :-)
